The Logicom Group was the recipient of the Editor’s Choice Award at the InBusiness Awards 2019 Ceremony. The event took place at the Hilton Nicosia, on Wednesday 29th January, in the presence of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades. The InBusiness Awards promote excellence in business and honour leadership. Mr. Varnavas Irinarchos, Managing Director, accepted the award on behalf of the Board of Directors, Executive Management Team and the Personnel. He thanked the organizers IMH, and the selection committee. Mr. Irinarchos’ main message was addressed to the young generation of entrepreneurs encouraging them to “Expand your business beyond our borders. Have a Growth Mindset”.

Your Excellency, Mr. president

Ladies and Gentlemen

Tonight I accept this award on behalf of the Logicom family and I sincerely thank IMH and the selection committee for this honour.

This honour goes to our esteemed Board of Directors

  • Our Chairman, Takis Klerides
  • George Papaioannou
  • Nikos Michaela
  • Anastasis Athanasiades
  • Anthoulis Papachristoforou

As well as all the members who have served on our Board throughout the past years, especially Adamos Adamides who was our Chairman for 20 years and retired in 2018

This honour also goes to all members of the executive management and personnel of Logicom whom I thank for their hard work, dedication, professionalism and passion.

This very passion is what provides the thrust to move forward

I would like to offer a piece of advise, especially to young entrepreneurs. Expand your business beyond our borders. Have a Growth Mindset.

The size of the market in Cyprus is limited.

Of Course, expanding abroad is not an easy task. Sacrifices need to be made. My wife and children know this very well.

You need to be well prepared, as success requires a lot of attention, dedication, patience and persistence

When you do succeed, however, you will benefit from many opportunities on a much larger scale

As a final note, I would like to emphasise that if we follow the right course of action, Cyprus will be looking at a brighter and more optimistic future. It is our duty to lead Cyprus forward. We owe this to our children.
