Product Manager - Logicom Romania

The jobholder will handle the product management functions related to a major vendor’s strategic products lines.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop the proper pricing strategy in line with Logicom’s revenue targets/margins to maximize the brand profitability.
  • Ensure the brand maintains optimal weeks of stock as per the vendor guidelines/agreement and Logicom directives. Ensure all back-to-back deals are invoiced as soon as they enter the warehouse inventory.
  • Consistently identify slow-moving stocks, high risk items & end-of-life products and constantly reduce/eliminate ageing inventory.
  • Ensure timely reporting, forecasting & claiming to vendor/management within given deadlines.
  • Ensure that Logicom receives max pay out of Marketing Development Funds (MDF)
  • Maintain an excellent relationship with the vendor and act as Logicom’s prime contact with the vendor’s personnel.
  • Effectively address all RMA issues in coordination with relevant vendor personnel and Logicom’s RMA in-charge and finance department.
  • Maintain excellent, up-to-date knowledge of his/her product and price road map through constant interaction with vendor’s personnel and other sources and disseminate this knowledge to Logicom’s sales personnel effectively and on time to take advantage of changing opportunities.
  • Act as account manager for a number of important/key channel partners.
  • Use the relationship and contacts with the vendor in an effective way that delivers tangible beneficial results to the company.
  • Effectively forecast sales through close interaction with the vendor, reseller channel and Logicom’s sales team.
  • Monitor the changes in the business environment on a daily basis and develop the ability to assess the effects of changing business environment on the expected sales levels (yearly, monthly, weekly and daily).
  • Decide on stock requirements in a thorough and effective manner in order to ensure that stock levels are always at optimal levels which enable maximum sales and fastest possible pick up time by customers.
  • Manage the entirety of vendor’s rebates (point of sale, back-end and other) and ensure that they are received accurately and promptly by Logicom.
  • Ensure adequate reach of channel partners for his/her brand.
  • Ensure complete and thorough coverage of all geographies under the vendor’s contract.

 

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in product management ideally at an IT Distribution environment.
  • Experience presenting to audiences, Webinars, trainings, customer visits, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Knowledge of Romanian market.
  • Basic understanding of product lifecycle management, demand and supply planning.
  • Inventory management skills.
  • Good understanding of distribution business standards with hands on knowledge.
  • Planning skills.
  • Leadership skills coupled with presentation skills and negotiation tactics.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT CANDIDATE PRIVACY NOTICE FOR MEDICAL ASSESSMENT BEFORE HIRING

You agree that subject to the completion of the recruitment process and provided that you receive a conditional offer for employment, you will go through a Fit-For-Work assessment by the Company’s Doctor. The Doctor defines the medical tests needed and performs the examination. You will need to sign a Data Privacy consent with the Company Doctor. The Company Doctor will provide a Fit-For-Work assessment with possible comments to the Company. This assessment will be one of the elements taken into consideration for providing a final offer.
